The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings. This nationally-recognised program equips students with essential skills and knowledge to provide quality care and education for children up to five years of age.

The qualification is aimed at those who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard, which supports the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s well-being, learning and development.

The course covers areas such as child development, safety and wellbeing, fostering creativity and supporting holistic learning.

The course includes a 160-hour work placement element where you will work at an Australian registered facility to gain real time work experience skills.

Academy Training & Assessment offer this course through an auspice arrangement with secondary schools and colleges.

Teachers deliver this accredited course to secondary school students as part of their VET studies with Academy Training & Assessment responsible for enrolment, registration and certification.

Practical Placement:
To achieve the full Certificate III (all 17 UoCs) students are required to complete a mandatory 160-hour work placement element where you will work at an Australian registered facility to gain real time work experience skills.
Some schools deliver partial certificate and reduce the number of practical placement hours (this could be 80hrs, for example). This is acceptable, depending on the chosen units being offered as part of the partial delivery.
Entry Requirements
All students will engage in a language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy (LLND) activity to evaluate potential support requirements. This will be emailed to each student and must be completed online prior to receiving the online Enrolment Form link.
